Congratulations to Tara Sorrels! Tara Sorrels is the 2015 Hershberg Scholarship recipient from Western Kentucky University. She will by studying abroad in Iceland to study climate change. 

Celebrate students' international study abroad experiences and accomplishments at this year's 2015 David Hershberg Scholarship Reception. The Hershberg recipients from 2014 will give presentations on their study abroad experiences in Spain, France, and Ghana.

Special international guests will be in attendance from Georgia, Morocco, Palestine, China, Rwanda, South Africa, and Tunisia who are involved in youth and civic engagement!

Join us as we celebrate the spirit of international exchange of the David Hershberg Scholarship Award, and with international leaders!

The David Hershberg Scholarship Award was established in the memory of David Hershberg, a Louisville educator, mentor, and guiding force in the creation and development of the Louisville International Cultural Center (now the World Affairs Council of Kentucky and Southern Indiana). Dr. Hershberg was a career faculty member in Romance Languages at the University of Louisville, and was particularly known for his dedication to his students and their development.
